Lovely motel ideally situated just moments from the town center – yet off the main road. Lovely large rooms and exceptionally comfortable bed. Lovely hostess and great facilities.
The Experience
Being almost 8 months pregnant, I was very picky with choosing my accommodation – and this motel ticked all the boxes. For just $160 per night, we got a huge apartment which included a decent kitchen area, huge lounge with 2 sofas, huge bedroom with king size bed and a lovely bathroom boasting a shower and spa bath. The balcony provided lovely views across the street to trees with glimpses of the golf course and the old St Mary’s hospital.
The bed was beautifully comfortable and despite being very pregnant, I got two blissful nights sleep. My partner’s only complaint was that the window above the bed allowed light to shine through early in the morning which woke him and kept him awake. Perhaps some longer curtains would resolve this?
50 channels were included with the Sky TV, and if you couldn’t find anything to watch on there, the office offered some 500 DVDs that were free for guests to borrow. Great selection, with truly something for everyone.
After heading out for a delicious breakfast at the Powerhouse Café, we came back to find our apartment had been serviced, and a basket of muffins left just to top off the quality service.
After a long day of exploring Hanmer, it was great to relax in our spacious apartment. The shower had great water pressure and a soak in the spa bath just topped everything off.
