Bunnings – Tower Junction Christchurch

Love this place! Bunnings Tower Junction would have to top my list of favorite places to shop. The warehouse is huge, with just about everything you could ever want for your home renovation, building project, or garden – all at great prices. The staff are always helpful, and not too hard to find. And best of all, there’s a great onsite playground, fully fenced, right next to a really great cafe.

If you’re looking for something for your garden, home or DIY project, then Bunnings is the place to be. Their slogan of “Lowest Prices Everyday” is not wrong, and they promise to beat any other standard prices you can find by 15%. Their range is great, rows and rows of different items for all types of projects.

Not only does the store have everything you could want to buy, but it is incredibly family friendly. The kids are delighted by the little kid trolleys they see when they enter, often already supplied with a free Bunnings branded gift – maybe a blow-up hammer, maybe a pencil case. There are free balloons for the kids to take, and a really great, fully fenced kids playground right next to the instore cafe.

The cafe is really great too. Being gluten intolerant generally means there’s very little I can eat at cafes, but this cafe always has fresh sushi which is just awesome. Their coffees are delicious and some of the cheapest you’ll find.

Very regularly they host free kiddie DIY activities like paint a pot, or have a free bouncy castle, or have Silly Billy the clown creating animal balloons for the kids.

A shop at Bunnings can feel like a fun day out with the kids, with something to keep everyone happy. Definitely recommend it!
